LIVE INTERPRETER · RESPONSIBLE USE

Acceptable Use Policy

Live Interpreter is designed to help people communicate across languages. It may not be used to secretly monitor, deceive, exploit, or harm others.

Effective date: July 20, 2026

1. Consent and lawful recording

You must provide notice and obtain every permission required before processing another person's voice or a confidential conversation. You may not use the service for covert eavesdropping, unauthorized recording, interception, surveillance, stalking, or monitoring.

Do not assume that consent by one participant is sufficient. Recording and communication laws differ by place and circumstance.

2. No abusive or exploitative use

You may not use the service to harass, threaten, intimidate, blackmail, discriminate against, shame, sexually exploit, or target another person. You may not use translated output to facilitate trafficking, coercion, grooming, or abuse of a vulnerable person.

3. No deception or impersonation

You may not misrepresent automated translation as a certified human interpretation, impersonate another person, create false authority, manipulate consent, commit fraud, or use generated voice output to deceive someone about who is speaking.

4. High-risk and regulated contexts

You may not present Live Interpreter as the sole or authoritative interpreter in an emergency, clinical diagnosis or treatment, legal proceeding, immigration interview, financial authorization, law-enforcement interview, workplace safety procedure, or other situation where inaccurate interpretation could materially affect rights, health, safety, or money.

The service may be used only as a supplemental communication aid in such settings when an appropriate qualified professional remains responsible for the final communication.

5. Illegal and rights-violating content

You may not use the service to create, distribute, translate, or facilitate content or conduct that violates applicable law, privacy, confidentiality, intellectual-property rights, contractual obligations, court orders, sanctions, or export controls.

6. Security and platform abuse

  • Do not probe, scan, attack, overload, disrupt, or attempt unauthorized access to the service or its providers.
  • Do not upload malware, steal credentials, extract secrets, or interfere with another user's session.
  • Do not automate requests in a way that exceeds documented access or harms service availability.
  • Do not bypass plan limits, billing, rate limits, safety controls, regional restrictions, or provider restrictions.
  • Do not resell or white-label the service without written authorization.

7. Sensitive information

Avoid speaking passwords, full payment-card numbers, government identifiers, protected health information, trade secrets, or other information that should not pass through an automated online service. You are responsible for deciding whether a conversation is appropriate for the selected processing path.

8. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and may warn, limit, suspend, or terminate access; preserve relevant records where legally permitted; or report conduct when required by law or necessary to address an imminent risk.

Enforcement decisions may consider intent, severity, repetition, harm, cooperation, and whether a less restrictive response is appropriate.

9. Reporting concerns

Report suspected misuse to [email protected]. Include enough information to investigate, but do not send unnecessary private audio, full credentials, or sensitive personal data.

This policy applies to the web product, APIs if later offered, accounts, and future native applications carrying the Live Interpreter identity.
